Baldur’s Gate 3 Hot Fix Coming As Soon As Today

Larian’s RPG Baldur’s Gate 3 is out now on PC and it’s putting up huge numbers right out of the gate. Not everything is perfect, though, and the first hot fix is coming very soon.

Larian boss Swen Vincke said on Twitter that the first hot fix is “cooking in the kitchen now.” The hope is to launch the update today, August 4, so keep checking back for that. The developer did not share any details on what the hot fix addresses, however.

Vincke also reflected on the release of Baldur’s Gate 3, thanking fans for their love and support. “It brought a tear to many eyes and it’s incredibly motivating for all of us. We can’t thank you enough,” Vincke said.

Just hours after launch, Baldur’s Gate 3 passed 400,000 concurrent players on PC. The game peaked at around 472,000 concurrent players, according to SteamDB.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is a huge game, and GameSpot’s review is coming sometime later. For now, check out our rundown of the top tips and tricks for beginners in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Baldur’s Gate 3 comes to PlayStation 5 in September. An Xbox version could follow sometime later, but not until Larian and Microsoft can figure out some technical issues with the Xbox Series S.
