Snag A 1TB PS5 SSD For Only $85

The PS5 comes with a built-in 825GB SSD, but only about 667GB of that space is actually usable. And if you’ve been steadily adding games to your library since the console launched in 2020, you’re probably bumping up against your storage limits. Thankfully, there’s an impressive sale going on for a PS5-compatible SSD, which adds 1TB of space to your console for just $85, down from $185.

There’s a long list of requirements SSDs need to meet in order to support PS5. Thankfully, the Corsair MP600 PRO LPX checks all the right boxes. That means you’ll benefit from speeds nearly identical to the native PS5 SSD after installing Corsair’s product. The 1TB model is seeing the best discount, although you’ll also find a 2TB SSD for $157, down from $200, and a massive 4TB model for $465, down from $535.

Adding an internal SSD to your PS5 is a bit trickier than just plugging in a memory card–although it’s still a pretty simple process. It involves taking the faceplate off your PS5, removing a screw, slotting in your SSD, then sealing it all back up.

The Corsair MP600 Pro LPX isn’t the only PS5-compatible SSD you can buy at a discount right now. Western Digital’s SN850X 1TB SSD is available for $110 (down from $180), and the 2TB model is up for grabs for $160 (down from $290).
