The Last of Us HBO Show Is Getting a Companion Podcast Hosted by Troy Baker

The Last of Us HBO series is getting a companion podcast hosted by Troy Baker alongside Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin.

As reported by GameSpot, new episodes of the podcast will be released every Sunday to go alongside each new episode of the show.

Baker, who voiced protagonist Joel in the video game, will be joined by The Last of Us creators Druckmann and Mazin.

“Fans of the series and the game alike will have the opportunity to be flies on the wall as the trio discuss their personal relationships to the iconic game, their experience in adapting it for television, and behind-the-scenes stories,” reads the podcast’s description.

The Last of Us finally debuts next week on January 15 and sees the beloved video game adapted into a nine episode run. Pedro Pascal stars as Joel while Bella Ramsey takes on the role of Ellie, and the two recently revealed how they reacted to the half-zombie, half-fungus infused Clickers for the first time.

Details around the show were hazy for a long time but the marketing train has been speeding up for the last few months, with HBO sharing new looks at the cast and a dramatic official trailer.
