For Cyber Monday, both Amazon and Walmart are offering the SteelSeries Arctis 7+ wireless gaming headset for only $99.99. That’s over 40% off the original $169.99 MSRP. This is a deal that we hadn’t seen at all for Black Friday, but it’s a very welcome one for anyone looking to replace or upgrade their current headset. That’s because the Arctis 7+ is an easy contender for the best wireless PC gaming headset under $100.
The Arctis 7+ updates the Arctis 7 with USB Type-C connectivity. The headset also supports fast charging over USB Type-C. That means that in addition to the impressive 30 hours of life you can get on a single charge, you can also get up to 3 hours of playtime after only 3 minutes of charging. The wireless dongle is also upgraded with a USB Type-C connector. The Arctis 7+ also allows you to use ChatMix via the Sonar app. It basically lets you prioritize game audio over chat audio and vice versa using on-headset controls.
Other than that, the Arctis 7+ is largely similar to the Arctis 7. That’s not a bad thing because the Arctis 7 happens to be Steelseries’ most successful gaming headset ever. The Arctis 7/7+ has been around for quite a while now, but headset technology hasn’t advanced too much over the years. There’s a newer version of this headset out, the Actis Nova 7, but right now it’s $180 and the price premium definitely isn’t worth it.
